    A short Bible story, read aloud, with pictures and a few questions. Long enough to matter, short enough to finish.

    The questions come straight from the passage, and a short written answer shows they thought about it—without pretending to measure anyone’s faith.

    They get a clear finish line. If their parent enabled the reward, First Followers will unlock the selected apps for the number of minutes their parent chose.

Good to know You pick what your child is taught. The screen-time part is optional—the lessons and reports work just as well without it.

The part parents ask about

How earned screen time will work.

A Bible app can play your child another video. A blocking app can shut the phone off. The unusual part of First Followers is what happens between the two—so here is how it will work, and where you stay in charge.

You pick the apps and the minutes

Nothing on your child’s phone changes unless you turn this on. You decide which apps are in the deal and how many minutes a finished lesson is worth.

Your child finishes the day’s lesson

The time is for doing the lesson—never for believing the right thing, sounding sincere, or landing on the answer we hoped for.

The apps you picked become available

First Followers will use Apple’s Family Controls technology to change only the restrictions it applied. Apple’s own Downtime, App Limits, and other settings will still apply.

The time ends and the rule returns

When the reward timer ends, the First Followers restriction will return. The child’s device may need an internet connection for rewards and updates, and the parent can turn the feature off without losing lessons or reports.

This is the piece we are building most carefully. Getting between a child and their phone is easy to get wrong and hard to be forgiven for, so this whole part is optional and you can always overrule it. Founding families will help us test it on real phones before it reaches anyone else.

Your signup is stored with Firebase in the United States to manage the waitlist, send the emails you requested, and understand how families find us. Do not submit child names, child emails, or birth dates.

A few honest answers

Questions parents should ask.

Is First Followers trying to replace family devotion or church?

No. It is a structured learning and screen-time tool designed to make family conversation easier and complement the work of parents and churches.

Do children have to earn screen time?

No. That part is entirely optional, and plenty of families will leave it off. You can use the lessons, the read-aloud audio, the parent guides, and the reports without ever connecting a single entertainment app.

Does First Followers decide whether my child’s faith is sincere?

Never. It can report bounded learning evidence such as completion, passage answers, and a response the child knows their parent will read. It does not judge what they believe, how good they are, or where they stand with God—and it is not built to.

What happens to what my child writes?

Whatever your child writes is written for you to read, and they are told that before they write it. Our promises: no advertising, we do not sell anything about your family, there is no chatbot for your child to talk to, and we do not use children’s answers to train AI models. First Followers is still being built, so the full policy—how long we keep things, who else touches them, and how to have them deleted—will be published before any child uses a test version.

What if the app restricts my child’s device at the wrong moment?

You stay in charge of the phone. Only the apps you picked are ever affected, you can hand out time or lift a restriction from your own phone at any moment, and you can switch the whole feature off without losing the lessons or the reports.

Why pay when there is free Bible content everywhere?

You are not paying to read the Bible. You are paying for lessons written and checked for your child’s age, that show up without you preparing anything, that tell you what your child actually understood, that build on each other over months instead of being a pile of unrelated videos, and a routine that keeps going without you running it.

Will this turn into one more system I have to manage?

That is the thing we are trying hardest to avoid. Lessons move forward on their own along the path you chose, setup is short and picks sensible defaults for you, and we only bring you in when something actually needs you—not every time a lesson is finished.

When can my family try it?

First Followers is in active development for iPhone and iPad. Founding families will receive honest progress updates and invitations as family testing becomes available.
